Where's My LOCKER?

Have you ever forgot where your locker was?

You go to the spot and your stuff is not there. Panic sets in. You literally cannot think. You pause, take a deep breath, and snap out of it. You remember! You might feel embarrassed and mad at yourself, but relieved and grateful.
Ultimately, you realize that it is really just STUFF. You can replace keys, credit cards, cell phones, and clothes. You cannot replace human life.
Recently, I was reminded about my priorities during a recent "missing locker" situation.
My Spirituality
Good mental and physical health
Family
Focusing on these 3 things keeps me grounded. When life disappoints me, I turn back to one or more of these things to redirect myself. I pause, take a deep breath (or two, or three), and snap out of it.
We live in a materialistic, consumerism environment. We look at social media, add filters to our pictures, and create these idealistic lives for the public. It is easy to get stressed out over things that don't really matter.
We live in a world where information (good and bad) is readily available and comes out to the public quickly. We overload our senses through video games, media, and fast transitioning advertisements and videos.
At some point, we must pause and breathe. It clears your mind to clear thought and decipher truth. It frees you from anxiety and stress. It allows you to be creative. It calms you to be more loving to those who mean the most to you.
Ultimately you will realize that the stuff in the locker is really not that important.
