Pause and Resume: When Life Happens

Sometimes you get into a groove within your life and everything seems to pause.

Maybe you get ill or a loved one needs additional care.

Maybe you suddenly need to find a new apartment and move.

Let the wind blow!
Let the wind blow!

Maybe you are simply burnt out and tired.

It IS ok to put a pause on things. Saying NO is a full and complete sentence. You may need to streamline your schedule to prioritize more important things in your life.

Over the last couple of months, I had to redirect my time and energy. I put goals on hold. I had to say NO.

This allowed me to

💪🏾 maintain my workouts even though my diet was trash;

🩺 go to emergency doctors’ appointments, urgent care, and hospital visits;

👕 sort and organize my husband’s closet;

🚙 MomUber.

I was able to push through the chaos without being stressed TF out. Intuitively, I understood my limits and the assignment. It has taken me a long time to stop being the “clean up girl” for other people. It took hard conversations and painful events to pivot me into a more balanced life.

I am GRATEFUL. These changes allowed me to be more present.

I am revisiting my goals: business and personal. I may have to be more realistic on timelines. Allow space for any new pauses.

And more importantly, live and enjoy life.

Hugs and love 💚

My body is telling me to PAUSE too. I woke up yesterday with an agenda and my body said NO. I'm getting the same response today. I took a long bath yesterday, and I felt a lot of release. I'm going to skip the chores, errands, going to the hospital, and just lay it down.
