You're the Detox Lady

My son called me the Detox Lady the other day.


I am trying out a Flat Belly Detox this week. It is an entire protocol that includes juices, a specific diet, powdered supplements, and a couple of teas. It required a lot of prep and juicing. It probably deserves a separate post to explain what I liked (and did not like) about the cleanse.

I firmly believe in the detoxification process. Depending on your current state of being, you may have to detox more often to get the desired results. At the very least, give your digestive system a rest and your body some time to HEAL.


First, you have to identify your WHY? I have used a detox for eliminating food cravings, jump start weight loss or stomach bloat, spiritual reasons, or supporting someone who needed a partner.


Second, you have to be realistic on what you can do. There are so many types of protocals. Do you want to drink juices or smoothies? Do want to use only supplements or teas? Or, are you on a limited budget and need to have accessible items? I am a firm believer there is something for everyone.


Before you detox, get your diet in check. No matter the protocol, it is much easier if you make the shifts BEFORE you start a detox.

💦Drink more water

🚶🏽‍♀️Walk daily

🤯Get your mind right


Lastly, invest in yourself. Purchase a quality juicer or blender. Sign up for a membership to do regular cold plunges, sauna, or massages.


My favorite detox is from Dr Bobby Price. I usually buy the 28 Day Herbal Detox and save $50. I generally complete two detoxes annually using his teas. By beginning the detoxification process as suggested above, this program becomes very easy to follow and delivers highly impressive results.
